How to Apply to SLS Preschool

  • Step 1

    Submit an Application

    Use the link above to access the application form. You will receive a confirmation email when your application is received.

  • Step 2

    Attend an In-Person Tour

    Families with an application on file for the upcoming school year will be invited to attend a one-on-one tour with our Head of School. Please plan to bring your child.

  • Step 3

    Admissions Notifications

    Admissions decisions will be emailed on in the winter preceding the school year. Upon acceptance, families will have one week to respond and pay the non-refundable $5,000 deposit.

  • At SLS, we are committed to providing educational excellence for pre-kindergarten aged children, in a warm, open, and welcoming environment. Our curriculum focuses on intellectual, social, and emotional development. We strive to teach children to be independent, self-reliant, and capable students. Our goal is to instill a love of learning and intellectual curiosity in each individual child.

  • Each class - Two’s, Three’s, Four’s and Pre-K - includes language arts, math, music, and art. All programs have been developed to teach children to approach new situations with a positive, enthusiastic, open mind. SLS is proud of its track record of preparing young students for kindergarten and supporting families in finding the best elementary school for their individual child.

  • We accept applications after the birth of your child.

  • Children must be 2 years and 6 months of age to begin our program. Children who are not 2 years and 6 months old by the start of school may apply, but must wait until they meet that age requirement to attend school.

  • Two’s
    2 years, 6 months to 3 years old
    Child must be at least 2 years, 6 months old to begin school

    Three’s
    3 years to 4 years old
    Child should turn 3 by Oct. 1

    Four’s
    4 years to 5 years old
    Child will typically turn 4 after May 1

    Pre-K
    4 years, 6 months and older
    Child should turn 4 by May 1

  • You will receive a confirmation that your application was received. Admissions notifications will be emailed on Friday, February 6, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year. Upon acceptance, families will have one week to respond and pay their non-refundable $5,000 deposit.
